New Jersey to Appeal Ruling Against Sports Betting

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and state lawmakers vowed on Friday to continue their fight to legalize sports betting after a federal judge struck down a law that would have allowed it in the Garden State.

A 1992 Federal law blocks states from implementing sports wagering with the exception of 4 states that were grandfathered in before the law came into affect.  The current states that allow sports betting are Nevada, Delaware, Oregon and Montana.
