2014 ACC Championship Odds: Florida State vs Georgia Tech

A rematch of the 2012 ACC Championships highlights two top ranked college football programs and the defending National Champions.  #2 Florida State will play underated #12 Georgia Tech for the 2014 ACC Championship.

In 2012 the Seminoles edged out the Yellow Jackets 21-15 as -15.5 point favorites.

Florida State (11-0) has escaped narrow victories throughout the season but continue to find a way to win games late in the 4th quarter.  The Seminoles are no where near as dominate as they were last season and Jameis Winston has looked awful at times.  Winston lead the Seminoles to the BCS National Championship in 2013 and also won the Heisman Trophy.  While he won’t repeat as Heisman Trophy winner, he still has a chance to lead his team to the College Football Playoffs.

Game Time: 8pm EST

Date: Saturday December 6, 2014

Place: Charlotte, NC

Odds: Florida State -3, 58.5

Georgia Tech heads into Saturday going 5-0 last 5 games and 5-0 ATS last 5 games.  The Yellow Jackets are coming off a huge win over Georgia last weekend as +12 point underdogs.  However, Georgia Tech will be without start wideout DeAndre Smelter, who suffered a knee injury vs Georgia last weekend.

Florida State is 21-8 ATS in its last 29 games when the line is +3 to -3.  Most novice bettors may lean on Georgia Tech to pull the upset and spoil Florida State’s perfect season.  But there is just something about Florida State continuing to rally late and pull out victories.

The absence of Georgia Tech’s star WR will hurt the Yellow Jackets offense.  They should keep this game close but early lean is on FSU -3.
