NBA Free Winner - Detroit @ Cleveland
@
LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers shoot for their sixth straight win Friday when they welcome Central Division rival Detroit to Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs earned their fifth consecutive triumph on Wednesday in New Jersey when James, who played a lot of point guard in the game, totaled 26 points and 14 assists to lead Cleveland over the lowly Nets, 111-92.
Starting for the injured Shaquille O’Neal, J.J. Hickson added 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Mo Williams put up 16 points and six assists for the Cavaliers, who have the NBA’s best record at 48-14 and lead the Eastern Conference standings by a comfortable six games over Orlando. Antawn Jamison chipped in 19 points and nine boards.
“When I’m at the point (position), I push the tempo a lot,” said James. “We are much bigger when I am at the point and I am able to create for myself and others.”
The Pistons, meanwhile, dropped their fifth straight game in New York on Wednesday when Al Harrington made six three-pointers on his way to 26 points as the Knicks handled Detroit, 128-104.
The Cavs have won four straight over the Pistons, including a 98-88 triumph in Auburn Hills back in November. Don’t look for things to change here tonight, but look for Detroit to keep it closer than 12. Free Winner Detroit +12.
