NCAA Tournament Highlights

Defending NCAA champions UCONN have been outed by Iowa State 77-64. Next up for Iowa State #1 overall seed Kentucky.

After a close game early on, Kentucky overwhelmed Western Kentucky 81-66. Kentucky hasn’t won the National title since 1998.

11th seed Colorado beats 6th seed UNLV, 68-64. Most felt UNLV had the make up of a team that could make a run late in the tournament. Colorado won the Pac 10 conference tournament in their first year in the conference. Colorado made it’s first appearance in the NCAA tournament in nine years.

Gonzaga man handle West Virginia 77-54. West Virginia never really showed any bit of enthusiasm or urgency and Gonzaga was on point.

Davidson put up a fight but Louisville turned out to be too much as the Cardinals knocked off the Wildcats 69-62.

#1 seed Syracuse held on to beat #16 UNC Asheville 72-65 with some controversial late game calls. UNC Asheville put up one heck of a fight against Cuse and some felt that had the calls been made the #1 seed could have gone down in a big upset.
